This card is amazingly easy which is a treat at this busy time of the year!
Ingredients:
Stamp Set: Loads of Love, Loads of Love Accessories, Serene Snowflakes or Branch Out
Card Stock: Bordering Blue, Garden Green, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Gray, Real Red, White Craft, Garden Green and Chocolate Chip Markers
Accessories: White and Platinum Shimmer Paint, fine tipped paint brush, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, 1/4" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon (2 inches), personal paper cutter and/or x-acto knife and mat, Stampin' Sponge, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Bone Folder, Snail Adhesive
Cut a piece of Bordering Blue at 9" x 5-1/2". Place card stock in horizontal position and score at 4" and 8-1/8".
Place card in horizontal position and use a ruler to measure and draw a horizontal line 1" from both the top and the bottom, between the score lines. From the 4" score line, measure and mark to the right at 7/8" and 3-1/4". Use ruler to draw two vertical lines from the top horizontal line to the bottom horizontal line.
Place a cutting mat underneath your card and cut the two vertical lines with the x-acto knife (or personal paper cutter).
With White Craft ink, stamp snowflakes around card front omitting the center between the cuts. Sponge edges with Bordering Blue.
Cut piece of Garden Green card stock at 4" x 4-1/2". Along the 4-1/2" edge, mark a dot at 7/8" from the top and 1-3/4" from the left edge. Draw pencil line to bottom edge. Cut along this line with x-acto knife (and mat underneath) or personal paper cutter.
Open the card so the inside is face-up. Slip the smaller panel of Garden Green CS through the slits that you cut on the Bordering Blue card.
Generously apply Snail adhesive to the inside of the small flap of the card. Fold the card closed and seal flap. When you turn your card over, this is what it should look like:
Above: the stamping of the truck won't be there yet! :)
Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to 2-1/4 x 2". With Real Red ink, stamp words. Sponge edges with Real Red ink using a Stampin' Sponge. Slide out the Garden Green piece and attach this piece on the left side of the blank Bordering Blue area.
Attach a 2" piece of Real Red grosgrain by placing a 1/4" bit of Snail Adhesive on each end, wrapping it around the end of the Garden Green card stock, centering it in the middle of the punched out area. Reinforce the adhesive by stapling the ribbon as well.
I hope you sit down and create a Peek-a-Boo Slider Card. They're so much fun, especially to receive. You can change it up with so many sets and so many colors. I'd love it if you send me, via email, a card you've created.
