Among the products that caught my eye was the Create & Keep Simply Sent Card Kit on page 42, way in the back of the Mini. It was one of the first items I ordered and I've been playing with it ever since. And it is SO MUCH CUTER than it looks in the mini. The images are very delicate.
This Simply Send Card Kit will be the focus of my February Class, February 15th, at My Country Loft here in Mi Wuk Village. I'll talk more about it in my mid-month Newsletter that will be coming out on the 17th of January. I'll be offering the class as a Kit To-Go as well in case you don't live near my little burg here in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Are YOU on my mailing list???
Here's a hint of what we'll be doing:
First, a card holder and dividers:
And then some great (and easy) cards..... Sneak peaks to these will come later.
More details to come in the following weeks. It's so much fun to be able to create beautiful cards in less than 2 hours.
CARD STOCK: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Basic Black

STAMP SET: Bring on the Cake, Pennant Parade, Candle Crazy and Birthday Builder Wheels
CARD STOCK: Confetti White, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo

TIP:I do not have roller wheel cartridges for all colors, so I frequently use the stamp pad as my 'cartridge'. Position the roller wheel/handle at one end of the stamp pad and roll it across the pad. Pick up the roller wheel/handle, go back to 'go' and roll it again, and again, and again. Do not roll the wheel back and forth on the pad or you'll only be inking up one area! :) When you roll your image on your card stock, always start off of one end of the card stock, roll image onto card stock and continue rolling until you are once again off of the card stock. Trust me! Don't start right at the edge of the card stock. Start off of one end and finish off of the other end.
Inking up the rollers................
Now that you've seen all 5 of our cards, how would you like a Class-to-Go Kit?

My new favorite punch, the Extra Large Two-Step Bird punch is on backorder until March 8th.
So.......I am going to reduce the cost of the class from $33 to $20 and I will pre-punch all the pieces. Hopefully, when you see how versatile this punch is, you'll consider purchasing your own after March 8th.
The PayPal button below has been changed to reflect the new $20 fee.
FEBRUARY! It always does take me a month to recover from the holidays. Actually I'm not quite there yet but I'm moving forward with my stampin' for sure. (We still have Christmas décor to return to the attic!)
Here's a larger than normal preview of February's stampin' class.
Believe it or not, these card all use the new Extra Large Two-Step Bird Punch. This punch is just so darned cool! You'll be amazed at the things you can do with this little bird. :) You learn a new trick with each card. There is no box for the card.......just a darned cute 'belly-band' that you'll see at the class.
The class also uses the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack, a new concept in a Stampin' Up! catalog. The Sweet Pea Stack, 2 each of 24 double-sided 12" x 12" Designer Series Papers, can be found on page 33 of the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog.
This class will be offered to my Mi Wuk and Dublin area stampers. I'm also working on a To-Go Kit but I need to assure myself that I'm in compliance of Stampin' Up!'s rules before doing so and making an announcement.

Check this out for another "look" for this Gift Set. The offer I made back in July 2008 will hold now for this current Designer Series Paper:
To take advantage of this beautiful project, simply email me with the products you will need for completion of the project and I will send you the detailed instructions, via email, for FREE. You might have many of the supplies on hand but, I would imagine, not the Le Jardin DSP or the Pretties Kit. Alternately, I can prepare all of the necessary supplies for you and present them as a complete Kit TO GO. Cost: $32 which includes US Priority Shipping. Stamp set not included.
This gift box and cards can be recreated using any DSP (Designer Series Paper), pages 158-161 of the Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog. Just check out the colors that are used in the DSP (listed under each pattern) and use those colors as the cardstocks for your set. Then select a stamp set of your choice for the stamped images. I can offer suggestions if you have a favorite paper but no clue which stamp set to use.
Put your imaginations to work and show me what you've come up with. I love seeing your creativity!

Add a touch of elegance to any occasion when you gift someone with one of these gorgeous cards featuring Stampin’ Up!’s Le Jardin designer paper and the Pretties Kit. In this class you’ll create four cards, each featuring different elements from the Pretties Kit, and a custom-designed box to hold them in. This would make a lovely birthday gift for a friend or teacher and.........it's not too early to be thinking of Christmas gifts. Plan ahead!
Aren't these just sooooo lovely? And they're fairly easy to make. The Pretties Kit contains a "ton" of silk flowers ready to be transformed into the color of your choice using Stampin' Pastels,Watercolor Crayons, re-inkers, or Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter for starters. (109114, $29.95/50 silk flowers, plus beads, pearls, rhinestone brads,p. 188, Spring/Summer Stampin' Up! catalog)
This kit also uses the Le Jardin Designer Series Paper (DSP) which will be retiring on August 10, 2008. (109151, $9.95/12 sheets--2 each of 6 double-sided designs, p. 168) Oh will I miss it. But you know it'll be replaced with an equally stunning and versatile DSP. (The only reason I'm guessing that it will be retiring is because it has the current 2007-08 In-Colors as part of the design. If the In-Colors are leaving, I'm assuming the paper containing them will be leaving as well.)

I will adjust the shipping as necessary for outside the US. Bear in mind that I will actually be having a vacation in late July (Stampin' Up!'s 20th Aniversary Convention in Salt Lake City) and August (family reunion in New Jersey and then a meander back to California via the northern states, family, friends and National Parks) so there could be a delay in shipping. I will communicate timing with you privately.
Please place your order by August 9th, 2008,so I can place my supply order before the current catalog expires on August 10th at 11.55 p.m. Le Jardin is certain to retire since it contains colors from the 2007-08 In-Color (TM) group.
