(I've always wanted my very own castle and for the next 4 days I will have one!) I welcome ye Royal Tourists, one and all, to my humble Castle in the Mountains, also know as Sanctuary. I am so glad to be back with you again on the Royal Blog Tour. I've chosen to use the Upsy Daisy stamp set, one of my favorites in Stampin' Up!'s 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. It's frequently my 'go-to' stamp set for a birthday or thinking of you card or even a sympathy card. Click on any of my cards to see a larger version.
Item #111710, 4 stamps, wood mount, page 95, $18.95, 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog
Today I'm sharing 3 cards (one with two versions) and three 3-D items. Ready???? Here we go.....
I saw a card using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set using this technique and knew right away that I'd be using it for an Upsy Daisy card.
Ingredients:
STAMP SET: Upsy Daisy, Curvy Verses
CARD STOCK: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
INK: Classic Pads: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Creamy Caramel, Stampin' Write Markers: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun
ACCESSORIES: White Taffeta Ribbon, Stamping Sponge, template with oval cut-out
TIP: I dyed the ribbons by laying them over the appropriate stamp pad, placing a stamping sponge on top, and pulling the ribbons over the pad (with the ribbon on top) until the desired color and intensity is achieved. Dyed to match ribbon! :)

Finally, for a little serenity, I've made a lovely candle decoration. It would also come in handy for a power outage like we experienced in February: 7 days without power. A generator helped but candles set a charming ambiance every evening. You can wrap any shaped candle with your piece of stamped cardstock.
Ingredients:
STAMP SET: Upsy Daisy
CARD STOCK: Kraft, Basic Black
INK: Black Craft Ink
ACCESSORIES: Scalloped Trim Border Punch, Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Snail Adhesive

Instructions for all of my creations will be available after the blog tour. Just come back to my blog and you will find a link to the instructions for each card or 3-D item. I hope you've enjoyed yourself while visiting my Castle, aka My Country Loft in Mi Wuk Village, California. As always, I really enjoyed creating so many looks with one stamp set.
SPECIAL BONUS: BLOG CANDY!
I love making these 'magazine files' that are pared down to the proper size for our standard greeting cards. I am offering the Magazine File above, filled with six cards which include the three Upsy Daisy cards you've just viewed, plus three more. Just leave a comment on this posting which includes your favorite card (from those above). I'll put all the commenter's names into a basket and have my husband draw one. Then I'll contact you via email the day after the blog tour ends as well as announce the winner on my next post.
"This is one of my favorite sets. All your cards are gorgeous. I think my favorites are the pink and purple birthday ones. Thank you for sharing and the chance to win this beautiful cards. Signed up for your newletter."

I've sent Pam an email and hope to hear from her today when she whoops and hollers!
I haven't done an official tally but it seems as if the Pretty in Pink top note birthday card with Smooch Spritz was the most popular card, followed neck and neck by the Pumpkin Pie oval and Elegant Eggplant/Garden Green cards. The projects were pretty much equally represented. Thank you all so much for your comments. Some were fun, some were just heart warming. Being a 'Princess' on The Royal Blog Tour was a fabulous experience and I hope to see you all the next time I give up a small portion of my life to participate. It was totally worth all the angst.
Now for the instructions for the cards. I'll give them in the order presented on the Tour, starting with the Pumpkin Pie Oval Silhouette cards.
And I'll apologize right now.......the post will be up this afternoon no later than 3 p.m. California time. Life has stepped in and pulled me away for awhile. (Nothing scary--just life)
***I have returned and all is well. I had a league tee time for our weekly golf outing. I stunk today! But now, the tutorial is finished and ready for you. Just click here.
The remainder of the Upsy Daisy projects will be ready each day this week. Tomorrow: the Post-It™ note holder.
