Have I told you how much I lovel Stampin' Up!'s new Envelope Punch Board? Well, I really do!
Isn't this guy just the cutest?
Here's what you'll need to put him together:
- CARD STOCK: Whisper White, 5" x 5", Basic Black, 3/4" x 3-1/4", 2" x 2-1/4", scraps for punching eyes, mouth and buttons, Pumpkin Pie, small scrap for carrot nose, Silver Glimmer scrap for hat trim flower
- MARKER: Chalk Pen
- TOOLS: Envelope Punch Board, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Owl Punch, Sticky Strip
- ACCESSORIES: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding
Punch smallest envelope with the Punch Board. Fold the long side to the center and punch through the two layers (gently) to separate the head from the body.
Place a piece of Sticky Strip on each flap as shown in photo, fold up the smaller bottom flap to the inside and lay the left flap over the Sticky Strip to secure the back.
Sponge the edges of both pieces of hat and attach as shown with Sticky Strip or Snail Adhesive. Punch out pieces for eyes, mouth and buttons using the Owl Punch. Attach eyes with Glue Dots. Attach mouth with little bitty dots of Tombow Anywhere Glue.
Tweasers help in setting the little mouth pieces in place.
Cut small piece from Pumpkin Pie card stock for nose. Place buttons: position one near the top of belly and one near the bottom using glue dots. Then position the middle button so you'll have even spacing. Tie Cherry Cobbler scarf around his neck. Using Chalk Pen, place little marks on eyes to give him some personality! Punch out a flower using Silver Glimmer paper and the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. Attach to hat brim with Glue Dot.
You can slip a narrow mini sized candy bar or short candy cane in the back of the snowman. It's not wide enough for a Ghirardelli candy.
Again, here's the finished snowman. It takes only 10-15 minutes or so, once you have all your tools ready to go, to make this cute treat.
Now, if you still don't have the Stampin' Up! Envelope Punch Board, are you ready to give it a try? Remember, it makes envelopes too! Check it out here.
Tomorrow is a day off but I'll see you on Monday with a few packaging ideas.
