Sandy T., one of my regular stampers, asked a few weeks ago if 2 of her young friends could come up to my stampin' studio to create scrapbooks. Of course I said sure. Having no clue what to expect or quite what to plan, I set out a few ideas and then threw out a few others once they arrived.
Hanna is an exchange student, staying with Sandy's daughter, from Ukraine. This girl is crafty--she serves on the yearbook committee at Sonora High School and is an accomplished photographer. At home she is a model among other things. Turns out she wanted to make a scrapbook for Kristin, her host-mom. Once I showed Hanna the Amazing Folding Album, her mind was made up.
These (photo-less) albums were her inspiration:
You're wondering where my photos are??? Yeah, so am I! One of these days.........
This is Hanna's album. She'll be filling the pages with some journaling as well as photos of 'family' events she's enjoyed during her stay in northern California. Jamestown to be exact, right smack in the Motherlode and the famous "gold country". She returns to Ukraine in either mid-May or mid-June. Of course I can't recall which!

You'll notice quite a few retired or retiring items used in Hanna's album. I let her choose the papers and supplies that 'spoke to her' from those I had on hand. It was fun watching her explore the options. The incorporation of the yellow flower.......... Yellow is her favorite color and one she adds to her life whenever possible, usually as an accessory.
I'll be posting a tutorial for the Amazing Folding Album in just a few days. Start finding some photos in the meantime. :) I'll let you know when it's posted.
