WITH MY SIMPLY SCORED DIAGONAL PLATE
Here's what you'll need to create this cute little favor basket:
- 6" square piece of Designer Series Paper
- Simply Scored Tool
- Diagonal Cutting Plate
- 1/8" circle punch
- 10" piece of coordinating ribbon
With your 6" square piece of DSP, score it at 2" and 4" on both sides. It'll look like a Tic Tac Toe game.
Then score it from corner to corner. It should look like this:
Fold all scored lines:
Pinch corners and bring to center:
Punch holes at tips of corners, preferably with 1/8" circle punch. Since I didn't bring mine with me, I had to carefully poke my holes with my Paper Snips.
Thread ribbon through holes. A larger ribbon would show better, but, alas, this is what I brought with me, the Lucky Limeade ribbon from Sale-a-Bration.
Fill pockets with candy:
Or other little goodies, like these stamping accessories:
And enjoy. This project, from cutting a 6" x 6" square piece of Designer Series Paper, to pulling the ribbon through the 'punched' holes, took less than 10 minutes!
Fun.
Cute.
Easy.
Why don't you try it? If I left any instruction out, please ask. :)
I'll show you how to make these cute little envelopes and cards (above) tomorrow. My "me time" is coming to an end for today! How those of you with young kids get stuff done is beyond me!
