Emptying grotty, yucky storage sheds and then refilling a single new clean fresh attractive shed---and making a 41 year old ALS patient very happy!
My step-son Jeff's #1 priority of things he'd like to see done is to get rid of two nasty metal garden sheds and replace them with one clean sturdy shed. So this week, his full time caretaker and landlady, Jade, and I attacked the project with a vengeance. This certainly isn't stamping related but it is 'making a person feel great' related.
MONDAY
This is what Jeff sees day after day, 4 feet away from his bedroom window: a nasty rusty shed blocking any chance of a view of the hills and trees to the right.
TUESDAY
Going down and away. Demolition, from start to g-o-n-e from the backyard, took less than two hours.
BACK TO MONDAY
But first we had to empty the sheds: camping gears, 3 artificial Christmas trees, kitchen contents, restaurant supplies, clothing, CDs (over 500 of one) and more, more, more. Plus rat poop. :( Then off to TUFF SHED to purchase a new shed. Business must be slow because, in addition to excellent service, the current sheds were demolished and the new one installed within two days.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON
The ground is ready for the new shed.
WEDNESDAY MORNING, 9 A.M.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, 2 p.m.
Jeff is out in the amazing, unseasonal, warm fresh air checking out the new shed. He watched the construction from his window with a silly grin on his face most of the time. In fact, when I was feeding him lunch his grin turned in to a giggle and he had to stop eating. To say he is 'over the moon' is an understatement.
No matter how dirty the job nor how exhausting, it was so totally worth every second of effort. Jade has the same "I can do it" attitude that I have and together we kicked butt!
So.........what do I do when I'm not at home stamping and prepping??? I dispense happy pills.
By the way...... If you'd like to dispense a happy pill, consider sending Jeff a card. Not a get well card!!! But any kind of other card: could be funny, just nice, whatever. He is a fisherman and outdoorsman and looks forward to camping in June with his dad and the guys.

See you tomorrow with some more stampin' samples and ideas. I do miss playing with my toys and sharing new stuff. This coming weekend I WILL MAKE and SHARE SOME GOODIES made with the new Diagonal Plate for Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored Scoring Tool. A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I won one at Leadership Training in San Antonio in January but I haven't been home long enough to play with it. I sure will make time on the day or two I'm home next time.
This new Diagonal Plate will be available for YOU to PURCHASE on March 1st!
