I'd like to congratulate Doug Harris, as winner of my (very little) limerick challenge:
May seem small in both bite and its bark.
But both, though they're fleeting,
Bring the heartiest greeting
And in their own way make their mark!
And now that you've enjoyed your morning smile, how about making some Irish Soda Bread for tonight's dinner? Here's the recipe I'm using tonight:
2 eggs
2 cups sour cream
3 1/2 cups flour, plus extra for topping
1/2 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup raisins
2 tablespoons caraway seeds (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter very well and flour an 8-by-4-inch loaf pan or 9-inch-square cake pan.And finally, the St. Pat's card we made at the Mi Wuk Library in February:
Obviously very simple except for the punching which is just plain fun.
Yesterday I went to a pre-season golf luncheon. I'm the 'sunshine gal' which means I send cards to those who need them and give out tees for each month's birthday gals. I'm loving this job because I get to share my stamping. Here are March's tee bags:
With all of these goodies, I now wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day. May you eat well, drink safely and may the wind always be at your back.......especially when you're taking a long bicycle ride. :)
