Now that you have many many possible ideas for journaling, do you have an enticing journal for writing? Here's an idea for a place to start: a Stampin' Up! On Board Journal (p. 185 of the 2009-10 Idea Book & Catalog). There are two sizes, 5-3/4" x 8-3/4" or 5" x 5". Alter the On Board Journal to coordinate with the Journal Jar.
I just created this journal to go with my Journal Jar. Yes, I'm going to use it.
Again, I used Stampin' Up!'s Nouveau Chic Designer Series Paper as my starting point and a Going Grey Classic stamp pad. I also used the Big Shot Die Cut Machine, Curly Label Die, punches: Modern Label, Photo Corners, Spiral Binding; Hodgepodge Hardware Genuine (bulk buy) brad, Stampin' Sponge, SU! Glue Stick, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Pretties Kit, Twill Tape, 1/4" Sage Shadow Grosgrain ribbon. Finally I got to stamp on this project, using the Celebrate Everything stamp set: "life".
TIP: When using the Spiral Binding Punch, start at the bottom left of your 8-1/4" x 5-3/4" piece of Designer Series Paper. Turn the punch upside down and place that little "stop" on the right side of the punch just off the end of the paper. Punch. Slide the punch to the left, along the edge of the paper, and slip that little 'end stop' into the last hole punched. Punch. Repeat. Important: Save that first punched out funny little piece. Apply Glue Stick to the entire front Chip Board cover and place DSP (Designer Series Paper) carefully, ensuring that you line up with the ring holes on the left. You will have one punched bit that will not have a binding wire to slip over. Place that saved funny little punched out piece in that open space. You'll never see or notice that punched out hole again. Be sure to gently rub over the entire front, making sure the DSP is securely stuck to the chip board. Use a bone folder or other small tool to ensure the DSP is secure under the binding wires.
The first card I'm going to be writing about: "Tell about how, when, where you learned to drive." Aren't these cards interesting and varied in subject matter?????
Go take some time for yourself and have fun.
